MSD Collections enables you to organize a wide range of collections or at least, the most popular ones: books, magazines, movies, music and programs. Everything is managed under the same interface, with only one menu changing for each kind of collection.

This is clearly an advantage when learning how to use the program, something for which you will need some time due to the huge amount of options and settings available. In fact, the whole interface feels overwhelmed by tables, toolbars and icons, and its design could be certainly improved.

In spite of this flaw, MSD Collections is an excellent application. It enables you to create highly detailed records of every single item in your collections and even track loans and generate PDF reports. Plus, databases are managed with the reliable SQL technology and also encrypted for more security.

▪ MSD Collections is an advanced cataloger that allows to manage collections of Books, Magazines, Movies, Music and Software. It also provides support for the management of the Loans of the elements in the collections. The information about Movies and Music can be automatically downloaded from Internet.

MSD Collections features a first level data management technology, that allows to sort, group and filter the information by any field or combination of fields. Any combination of sorting, grouping or filtering can be visualized or printed in a report and also can be saved to disk in order to be recovered at any time.

This advanced data management technology allows to see, for example, the books grouped by publishing house and author, by book type and location or by creation and modification date. The possibilities are infinite.

The program allows to catalog the collections by location, using a hierarchic structure with no depth limit, with which a structure like the following can be easily obtained: Building, Floor, Office, Bookcase, Shelf, Folder, etc.

MSD Collections can be used to catalog collections of physical elements, but it can also be used to catalog collections of electronic elements stored in hard disks, CD-ROM, DVD's, etc.
